Golden City Council Candidates / Candidatos

Golden's City Council acts as the governing body that shapes the direction, policies, and administration of the City. There are seven members of City Council:

  • Mayor, who is elected at large for a 4-year term

  • 2 members elected from Districts for 4-year terms

  • 4 members elected from Wards for 4-year terms (Elections November 2025)

This November, all four Ward seats on Golden’s City Council will be up for election, meaning a majority of the City Council will be chosen.  Municipal elections in Colorado are nonpartisan, so candidates do not run with party affiliations.

Jeffco Public School Board Candidates / Candidatos

School board members play a critical role in shaping the future of our district, helping set policy, overseeing the budget, and representing the voice of our community in public education. See What is the Role of the School Board? See Jeffco Board of Education Webpage

Jeffco has three of its five Board of Education seats open for election for a four-year term. All Jefferson County voters will have the opportunity to cast their vote for up to one candidate per director district. This is a nonpartisan election. Board members are not paid.

Ballot Measures

Proposiciones en la boleta

The state legislature referred two state statute measures to the 2025 ballot concerning funding for the Healthy School Meals for All Program (see HB25-1274). During the 2025 Special Session, the state legislature passed SB25B-003 that modified one of the measures for the November ballot.

Golden United recommends:

Vote YES on Propositions LL and MM

for Healthy School Meals for All


Proposition LL: Retain and Spend State Revenue Exceeding the Estimate for Proposition FF

Proposition MM: Increase State Taxes for School Meals and Food Assistance Programs

Tues, Nov. 4: Last day to vote (polls close at 7:00 pm)
